Here's one I like, probably because this tends to be one of my failing thoughts.."Oh I'm too old to learn/do... (whatever)"
"No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch"
ReplyDelete"Do something today that your future self will thank you for"
Not a fitness one, but one that speaks to me and encourages:
ReplyDelete"None of us need one more person . . . pointing out where we have failed or fallen short . . . what each of us does need is FAMILY . . . who believe in us, and who believe we're trying to do the BEST we can."
― Marvin J. Ashton
Who did the last 2 quotes???
ReplyDeleteOne of my all time favorites is by Pres. Hinckley "Try a little harder to do a little better"
and the one mom gave us all a while back by Thomas Edison "If we did all the things we were capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves"
Besides the one I shared via email, it helps me to remember my body is a temple, and that I need to treat it as such. Boyd K. Packer said, "Our physical body is the instrument of our spirit." I know I want my spirit to be a healthy and beautiful one, so I'd better make sure my body is too!
ReplyDeleteI did quote number 2... It won't allow me to put my name... sorry! - Erika
ReplyDeleteEverybody has great quotes! I love having a way/reason for us to communicate with each other. I have to admit I'm not very good normally, so this is awesome for me, for that!
ReplyDeleteThis is from one of the Rocky movies. Insert your name in place of Rocky's.
ReplyDeleteAdrian: Einstein flunked out of school, twice.
Paulie: Is that so?
Adrian: Yeah. Beethoven was deaf. Helen Keller was blind. I think Rocky's got a good chance.
"try, there is no try there is only do"

"Go big, or go home." You get out of things what you put in to them.

This is Richard. This is my favorite quote. It goes along with a cartoon of two dinosaurs standing on a shrinking island looking a Noah's Ark in the distance. The quote is, "Oh crap, was that today!" It inspires my to not procrastinate.
